Human bocavirus (also termed HBoV) is a small non-enveloped virus with a single- stranded DNA genome. It is a member of the Parvoviridae family. HBoV has been detected worldwide in 2–20 % of all upper and lower respiratory tract infections, and has also been linked to gastroenteritis.
